THE POWER OF ONE:
THE STORY OF HOWARD KESSLER
Howard Kessler changed the American economy when he invented the affinity credit card––a credit card that is connected with an organization, for example a United Airlines card, or one connected with your union or alma mater.
He went on to create a financial services company that legendary investor Peter Lynch called (in an interview with me) "one of the most successful companies in America."
Later, Howard became a full-time advocate for improving medical cannabis access for older adults, putting tens of millions of his own money into a massive philanthropic lobbying effort to get Medicare and the large insurance companies to make cannabis a part of the standard American medical system.
I was approached by Howard's team and asked to create a legacy film for him, one that his grandchildren and their kids can one day see, and learn about all the amazing things their grandfather did. The result was a touching, warm and at times cathartic and dramatic 35-minute documentary that tells Howard's story from his lower middle class upbringing until today.
